It makes a huge difference how you are dressed for the cold. It's no fun freezing in a crow blind!
I dress in layers of clothing with a down filled parka that I put on last. If a guy can keep his head, hands and feet warm when being outside in single digits or below he's got it made.

Hope I am not violating policy here but this year I found Cabella's Standhunter top and bottom on sale I think $149. They are camo and wool with a very thick lining in them. The coveralls are really thick and not really built to be walking around all day in but I did some stalk hunting during deer and they were fine for that but using the parka and coveralls if you move you are going to get warm pretty quick. I used them during deer season and a few days were around 0 F and I was warm sitting against a tree for a good while. My boots were not the best yet my feet never really got cold. When the temp got over 32 I pretty much had to keep the parka unzipped.
I am a huge fan of wool and have a few other wool pants and jackets use them more because it is rare to have the cold that we had this year but where the OP is from those temps are more common so if they are someone they hunt with is not all that comfortable they might want to take a look at these as I do not think you could find anything that works so well. Of course you have to find them on sale or they are pretty expensive.
I too like wool. When sitting around (deer, crow, turkey) I am comfortable below freezing down to single digits F (don't prefer colder=not fun), layering, using some hi-tech (Army) long underwear with (Army, again) OG wool trousers and shirt with 5.11 trousers for the outer layer and a (yes, Army) field jacket with liner. Headgear varies depending on the cold, but have several variations such as watch cap plus thin liner for really cold, then less bulky watch caps. On the feet are Sorels with the thick felt liners and wool sox, with silk liners if really cold. Less cold, and not so wet, above freezing, regular boots. Long OD wool scarf optional.
I sometimes feel as if I must look like the Michelin Man, but am seldom uncomfortable from the cold. I don't do much rain at all. That's for crazy duck hunters who are into significant misery, it seems to me .
