Had my best crow hunt this morning.....and it was a solo hunt!!

Went to another farm where crows are feeding.

Set-up the decoys and the blind with the full moon was enchanting

Crows were comming from everywhere but I was ablo to shot 360 degree

 Pictures
1- view from inside the blind

2- this crow was smart enough to stay away !

3- the spread

4 can you see the blacks feathers falling from de sky? It was a close shot, I had time to take my camera after it

5-6  crows

7- I  need a sponsor ;)

8 - Total of 68 crows and 2 pigeons !

In photo # 5 how long did that crow stay there, was it a cripple that hopped up on that branch? Or was it one that just landed?

Bravo on your new record !

In photo # 4, you show what appears to be an industrial-sized barn used in large-scale animal activities (cattle, pigs?). There are a few of those nearby, and I've often thought that would be a good point to set up after a manure spread.

Is that what you were doing? (hunting in the vicinity of a manure-dump).

You are right, this is a pig farm.

During winter they pile the dead ones and bury them once the ground is unfrozen.....so there is a lot of food for crows now!

In the last pic, is that a couple of dead hog legs poking out of that pile?

We have a lot of time to hunt, but not a lot of crows! ;)
During winter, there is no crow....they come back at spring
During summer, they are hard to hunt because they can feed anywhere and there is no big roost!
We have to wait at fall, they start to feed in the corn fields and then we have good results
