Gerry, a good friend from the trap and skeet club, has been it seems getting tired of busting clays. He has badgered me more than once to head out across the rural landscape and take the fight to the crows.

Well, I finally complied and off we went this morning on a search and destroy mission. Sunny skies and brisk winds confronted us for most of the day. Crows were scattered as they are at this point on the calender but every stop less one produced shooting...but not always a killbiggrin.

We stuck mainly to cattle and ranching country as this landscape seems to hold the most crows. In fact, some of the crows we killed stunk quite badly of cow manure and sported cow crap on their feet and bills to the effect that they took on a brownish tingedoh.

Shooting was tough as the wind was very strong and gusty at times. We missed many and a few profanities were uttered... Finished off with a couple dozen crows and a few magpies for our effortssmile.

A few pics attached for your viewing enjoyment!

When the wind gets to 20 MPH and above those crows can sure maneuver if they see you before you get the shot off. I got a good laugh when you said there were plenty of profanities being used, we've all been there.
