Shot this crow on Sunday.. the top of his beak was "caked" with mineral salt.. a first for me..

We try to feed our crows around here... lead. But must be something to that salt diet... Interesting picture!!

Autopsy report shows high levels of salt and other minerals...but ultimately lead poisoning was cause of death.. All entrance wounds were from the front and victim had his wings up..biggrin

Sometimes I wonder about my shooting partner.. this crow has a "crappy" outlook.. Also, notice the two fine Gibson's.. one of those calls was wood (Pear wood) my father gave to to Darrell Gibson to make for us..
