3 Day Hunt

Got after them for 3 days, 1st day solo and my son met up at camp and shot the other 2 with me. 1st day on about 50 acres that had not been shot but had a poor crop. Shot fair but did a lot of missing, crows came in hot a lot and with me hand calling and e-calling and trying to see them first wasa challenge. Picked up 63 and had a good time pulling the trigger.

2nd day was a sight, wind gust to 30mph made for some sporty shooting, had shot this orchard twice already and didn't expect a great shoot but crows started slow and then became steady. Some of the fastest crows so far this year, they looker ally cut up with a wind. Wound up picking up 98. Was really surprised killin that many on the 3rd shoot.

3rd day shot a new place that we had only saw the evening before and just made a guess on our set up, didn't hit the sweet spot but had a good morning shoot, crows were hot and agressive which was a lot of fun. And believe it we picked up another 98, when we counted we had to laugh we wanted to break a 100 both days but came up short. We did lose some both of these days and looked hard to find 2 more but didn't . Been hard for us to have back to back good shoots, and this was really great for us. Don't know how rare picking the exact same number 2 days in a row is but it's a first for us. Weather was great and cold and clear even the 2nd day wind wasn't that bad because of the sporty shootin. Below are some of the cell phone pics.

Butch,

I almost had to break my neck to crank it around for those sideways photos, the upside down one I had to do a hand stand to view it LOL. Looks like you enjoyed yourself.

Bob,

You can tell Me and technology are not on the same page (lol). I just wish I knew how I did it, it might come in handy someday!
Yes had a good time, having good shooting and fellowship is hard to beat. I know we are due to git bit sooner or later but that's Huntin. I think you shoot several days in a row, don't know bout you but this wore me out!

O.A and B.H.

Thanks for the laugh, I really needed it!
This has been a good fall for us and I feel fortunate we found some areas that have good numbers of crows to hunt. I also know how things can change quickly, got a grove we killed a lot on last year that the owner says they are not there this year. Was hoping I wouldn't have to scout as much this coming summer but from reading others post on how their birds have not shown up or have moved it looks like this part of hunting them will be the only constant part of crow hunting, I have to admit I never thought we would have this type of shooting, was hoping but with these rascals you never know from one day to the next.
Had a thought of trying to keep up with the misses with a hand counter but I don't think they count that high! (lol)

Great hunting!

I wish we had crow numbers like that.
