I have a e-caller that has crow alert, crow mobbing, Crow distress adult, crow distress young and crow distress baby. Which if any of these are the best to call with??? I have always just used crow fight. Thanks
Lot depends on your style of hunting, sounds like you run and gun and any of these calls will work at times, unless you overhunt your areas. I don't use these calls very much only before we pack up to leave. The crow alert I have never used. Mainly hunt feed situations and don't wont to bring them in all at one time. Lots of good info in the older posts and I am sure others with way more experience with these calls will help you out.
Thanks!! I have just purchased the new digital game callers. I started 20 years ago with a Johnny Stewart record player and then a tape and then a cd player. Now all these sounds are preloaded and I don't know what to do. I guess I need to get me a mouth call.LOL I have been a member here for years. I haven't logged in a a few months and I cant figure out my user name. Waited a couple days for them to email me my info and never got the email so I just opened a new one. Thanks again.
What company's sounds are you using. What you listed doesn't sound like the Johnny Stewart sounds. The J/S sounds remain the gold standard, especially crows fighting owl, crow come here, death cry of a crow and single excited crow. Every other sound in comparison is pretty much junk.
If someone else is using whatever electronic call suits their fancy it is time to move on...also if there are no crows around, simply put, you won't get any crows...! You can have three hundred decoys out and still not see a single crow....
