Caller/Decoy setup to plink 'em with an airgun?

Hi there.  I've been reading through this site and listening to Bob's podcasts while looking to get into shooting crows.

Before buying a large e-caller, new barrel for my 870 HD gun and rucksack to carry it to the nearest public hunting area I was wondering if it's could call them to my back yard to take with an air rifle.  I'd be using this: http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Benjamin_Marauder_PCP_Air_Rifle_Synthetic_Stock/3139  It's pretty powerful ('bout same as a CB short) and keeps shots within a quarter size circle at 25 yds.  So it should kill crows no problem.  There's almost no noise as well.  I'm thinking this strategy will give me some practice with calling and let me little boy get his first taste of hunting without needing to tromp out into the woods in the cold.

Is there a call sequence(mouth or electronic) and decoy setup that would get them to land in the yard or fence?  I've experimented with a mouth caller and can get them to come circle the area but without visuals they don't bite.  Kind of what I figured looking at youtube vids and stuff on here.

So...has anyone tried getting them to land for a precision rifle shot instead of fly near a blind?  I was thinking of throwing some corn out there and a few decoys as a feeding setup.  But when they get real close will the static decoys spook them off?

What call sounds would work with a feeding setup?   Or is getting them to stay still long enough to get a shot at 25-40 yards a waste of time?  I was going to sit in the house, shed or a camping tent in the back yard.

Thank you; your help is appreciated!

Mr last round, I've killed 3 crows in my yard with an airrifle.. it took over 6 years to do. I used to work from home with a yard full of pecan trees..Crows are very smart and have very good vision.. Any movement from you what so ever they will see you and fly.. even trying to open a window or crack a door... trust me they will not sit on a limb or ground and be shot..yes you can put out food for them but they will be extremely cautious and most likely grab the food and fly to somewhere where they feel safe to feed.. you will be better off shooting squirrels.. sorry to be a such a downer on your potential fun... but it's the truth... best of luck with what you decide..

I've killed scores of them, BUT... I live in the country and can call them in and shoot them with my 12 gauge.

Sneaking up and popping them near the house or at the bird feeder/fig tree?  I've killed only one in 10 years.

Good luck and keep looking for places to use the shotgun.

I have shot a couple out my car window off a fence where you could drive up to one and it wouldn't know what you were up to with an old Sheridan 5MM....pneumatic pellet rifle..oh it killed it all right!

The-last-round, I set up a owl decoy over a crow like the owl caught the crow. Had more crow dekes in trees around the owl. Used a gathering call on my electronic caller. Several crows came in and sat in trees above my crow decoys. Prob could have shot them on a limb quick with a pellet gun.
