Cracked the Code?

Hi Fellow Crow Busters,

Is it just me or does it appear the Skip has taken crow hunting to the next level - like a newly minted PHD in a kindergarten class of dunces?  This crow shooting machine goes out and with little apparent scouting or effort, hides in a tree line and clobbers north of 100 birds! And he does this fairly routinely in locations close to his home without driving all over our great country.

Bravo, Field Marshal Skip and keep sharing the secret sauce of your crow hunting success!  I am sure Leroy is a help, but have to believe their is more to your outstanding results.  We really enjoy reading your posts, so keep them coming.

Regards,

Fellows, let me help you with his secret.  I have shot with Skip and can give you an insider's view of what he is doing.

A good part of Skip's success is that he DOES NOT MISS!!!  That boy can SHOOT!

Us mere mortals can occasionally make the Century Club by shooting like we do, but if we shot like Skip, we might even get bored bagging another 100+ crows.  When he is not whacking crows, he is shooting in sporting clays tournaments...and that brings up another topic.  He shoots clay pigeons like crows!

Skip has shot less than 5,000 tournament targets, but that is all he needed to best most of his competition to climb up to AA-Class, which is one short of Master Class, (the highest there is).  But don't let the numbers fool you.  Skip is a Master at shooting and his rankings will quickly catch up to his reputation!

The guy is just a crow-killing, clay-crushing machine!!!  Get used to it!biggrinbiggrin

Demi: Thank you for your kind remarks... but you left something out that our gang should know... Mr. Island Shooter already IS a Master sporting clay shooter not a wanna-be like me! He shoots registered events almost all over the world and uses some of the finest custom fitted guns you would ever want to see! So your "crow killing, clay crushing" description is much appreciated, but it belongs first to you, sir!!

Skip,

It took you less than 5,000 targets to knock on the door of Master Class.  It took me several years to get there and I'm still jealous! wink  (Clays and Crows)

Demi

P.S.  And my crow gun is a Beretta 391...

Demi: All I can say about that is... there evidently is a very high positive "carry-over" between shooting crows which I have been doing for 60 years this May.. and bustin's clays.smile
