It IS noteworthy! Not many of us do that...ever..up until the 80s here my partner an di would only do about 328 crows (if that) for the season here...we just didn't know the real hotspots were elsewhere....we were getting a dozen each time out so we were pretty happy...I didn't recognize that the old Field and Steam area was drying up as the crows were no longer sticking around due to the pheasant and goose hunting...mostly pheasant who were always haunting the fields...in no time the crows would move further on...they'd had had it. Which makes me wonder why there is a season on crows(here in NH) per "federal' guidelines anyways..just how many of us are there? Might be a dozen in the whole state! And of that dozen (if that) are but a handful of the "professionals" who know what they are doing?
I will pass that along, you just never know about your health once you get past 50 years old. It seems like (as you get older) you start to loose a few friends in there very late 50's and as time goes on some go in there early to mid 60's. Seems like if a guy can stay healthy until he reaches early to mid 70's he will live to be a really old bastard!
Good talking with you Butch.

Every new day is blessing no matter how old you are. The most sobering context I can think for the aging process of is to ask yourself how many opening days do I have left?
That's great, I haven't really thought about setting a goal on total birds, I just have a blast doing it. 3 or 4 hours early in the day and do whatever ya want the rest. Normally I home about the time the rest of the family is just getting around?? Beauty sleep girls!! Anyway congrats Dick keep Blasting!!

Mike, I see you are a retired teacher and taught photography. It's no wonder you get such outstanding photos of crows and waterfowl. Your web site takes quite a while to see with all there is on that site.
Dick has been trying to get me to go to Saskatchewan, Canada to hunt ducks & geese. He has a house up there and stays for two months hunting. The crow hunting has ruined me for anything else I'm afraid.
