Long day, but a good hunt

Left out at 1:30am got home at 5:30 in between we had a blast. Bama was a nice 32 degrees this morning, just right for a crow hunt.  And they got the memo, had a friend with us which made 3 shooters. Hunting with 3 can be tough on the set up in order for everyone to get good shooting. We unoficially killed over 200 but only picked up 191, lost count of the dead loss (still no clicker) but a conservative guess by us 3 we lost 20 plus to the thickets. Dont know bout y'all but giving them a dose of hush up ( #6 or #71/2) when they come in screaming is as much fun as a "poof" and we had it all today including "thuds". This was our best 3 man total so far on an orcard hunt. Felt good and the owner was well pleased. Only got 1 pic , it's below.

Man, we gotta find a pecan tree that can survive a real MI winter! Or, grow frozen peanuts, or something that causes death wishes in crows like they do down there in AL!

Just a great hunt! smile

Where's the Cart? Need a Cart Of Death overflowing photo!!!

O.A.,

Was able to drive in today which is a preferred method for this old codger (lazy). Did have a good load on the trailer. Got to tell on myself though, we didn't clear all of them out a few weeks back and left 1 under the bind material on the trailer and backed it in the garage, crows have a unique aroma after a few days dead in a garage, plus it takes a few days to air a garage out. Lesson learned!

doh. One summer in FT Monroe, VA, I left some shrimp fish bait in the freezer in our garage. Power outage, freezer didn't come back on (forgot it had a circuit breaker) for a week. Oh man!!! dohdohdoh

Return of Butcher...

Outstanding efforts!

Sounds like it has been colder in AL than MI! ...although I think that is about to change.

You have been doing well. Glad your scouting efforts have been rewarded.
