Outstanding photos of various crow hunts.

The first photo was taken in Stafford County Kansas (1983) left to right, Sam Salem, Bob Aronsohn and Boyd Robeson. Boyd was my crow hunting mentor back in those days. Boyd was 56 years old and I was 35 in 1983.

The next photo is now a parking lot, it was taken in February of 1975.

From left to right photo #2, 5, and 7 were all shot with in a 15 minute drive from my house back in the old days. This was from the mid 1970's to the mid 1980's.

In photo # 6 is a pecan orchard hunt back in the mid 1990's. This orchard was only 11 acres but man did the crows use it! It was a give me every time you hunted this place, if you let it rest for 3 to 4 weeks between hunts it was guaranteed you would shoot several hundred or more crows when you setup there.

Hi Bob,

I have not seen a couple of those older photos before. Pretty neat stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jason,

In the first black & white photo I was about your age now.

That Stafford County roost had literally hundreds of thousands of crows in that roost in those days. They had big flyways leading to that roost, I remember one day Boyd was hunting solo in that area and missed the flyway and still shot 140 odd crows that afternoon.

This photo was shot in Stafford County in the early 1980's. This was just one of four main flyways leading to that roost.
