Anybody else ever witness this?

Couple of firsts this year.

#1 happened earlier this spring when I heard rabbit distress cries coming from overhead. Crow had a very young rabbit in it's claws while it flew through the air. Apparently the rabbit was struggling as the crow stopped atop a light fixture and pecked at the rabbit several times before flying on. Rabbit was of the size I've only seen still in the nest.

#2 While driving through southern Wisconsin last week on Hwy 151 Sw of Madison and witnessed a crow get hit by a car. First noticed it as it was swooping towards the road. No explosion of feathers but popped up in the air and sailed a bit just like a DRN crow that had been shot.

Driving down the road one morning I approached two crows, side-by-side, eating a small roadkill. Another car was approaching from the opposite direction. As we approached, both birds took off in tandem. Apparently two things happened simultaneously:

A) The further crow was watching the other car and...

B) The closer bird blocked the view of my truck closing in on the pair.

It was the perfect storm. The closer crow peeled off to expose the second crow with very wide black beedy eyes and a very surprised look on his face... just before I heard the "Thud!!" It was a very satisfying sound, and the only one I have ever heard.

Shot a few lately (using 30gr #6 instead of my normal 32-34gr #5 or even my long range 36gr #4) that were high and they folded, dropped like a brick 20-30 feet, then suddenly got their wings out again and flew on :(
Also had ones that after folding and hitting the ground, an hour or two, sometimes more, I go to tidy up, and it suddenly gets up, runs, and flies off LOL
