A Quick Hunt

I went out on a quick hunt this AM with my daughter.  She was quite excited, she loves to be the retriever.  We did not stay out long, only for the first 2 hours of day light.  We packed up with 12 birds in the bag at 8:30am.  I think we would have done better but there was a run-n-gunner out harassing the birds.  We heard shots in three different directions from the guy.

Easy hunt, easy hide.  We were lucky enough to hunt from standing corn on the edge of a hay field.  Im lucky this family friend landowner lets us hide in the corn.  Standing corn makes a blind that is hard to beat....and hides a lot of movement from a 6 year old.  smile

Also note what she is wearing.  It has always been my stance to worry more about your blind than what you are wearing.  Camo doesnt really matter if you have a good blind.

Here are some photos I thought you fellers might enjoy:

I just love these reports of when you take your daughter out, and especially the photos. These are priceless moments!smile

Can't wait to see her someday with a .410 in one pink-gloved hand and a dead bandit in the other!

A dozen birds in this part of the country in early August would be a great hunt, Congrats, nice pictures.

Hello Honk,

You're daughter is so cute. You can tell she loves being with daddy!

The most interesting photo was the silhouette photo of you holding you're daughters hand, good photo!

Priceless stuff right there bud and you can tell she has so much fun with you out there! Way to go on getting here involved and hooked early.

I can't wait to get my little man out with me in the next year or 2. He already asks, "how many birds today daddy?" Lol
