Experimented on the orchard my grandson and I shot 9/17, was hoping it would reload with some fresh birds. It didn't and only picked up 15, knew better but had to give it a shot. Lesson relearned again.
2nd hunt was better but well off the number of crows usually seen and heard, believe they have ben hunted. As with the other hunt the mouth calling produced the birds. Anyway we picked up 52 wary crows. Not complaining or making excuses but this early I do enjoy "green young crows". Hope to get after them again soon and find a bunch that are willing to charge down the barrel of the 12ga.
