im looking for crow hunters willing to give me their dead crows. I am a beginner taxidermist that enjoys taxidermying crows. If you are in NC or in a surrounding state I would love to come take any dead crows you have off your hands. im looking to get a bunch, so the more the better. please feel free to email at elheller2@gmail.com if you have many crows. Thanks!
Before anyone acts on this request you better check the laws governing the possession of migratory bird feathers. Penalties for breaking these laws can be severe.
Critter Angel, if this is a legitimate request you might also check laws and/or obtain permits.
Things may have changed, but this is one article on the topic: http://qctimes.com/collecting-bird-feathers-is-illegal-who-knew/article_8da46fac-4c15-11e0-962b-001cc4c03286.html
Another possibility is that this request could be a setup by another anti.

From reports on this Site, it seems there are sufficient crows in NC for you to go out and bag a few on your own. Think of the satisfaction of your being able to "immortalize" the fruit(s) of your hard-earned hunt(s)!
I'm certain if you studied this Site and other readily available sources on the Web, then bought, scrounged up, and/or borrowed some basic equipment, including a gun and a box of shells, you would be able to do all of this yourself and who knows, you might even find the crows are smarter than you think, and this sport a challenging way of spending some of your recreational time!
I'll wager there are lots of gun clubs and ranges in NC, including where you live, where the members would enjoy helping you get started on your quest for some crow hides. If you are not acquainted with firearms, then the local gun club is even more important so you can get some safety instruction and a Hunter Safety Course.
Good luck!

I bow to the wisdom of more senior and wiser CrowBusters and remove the "NO BS sign." However, you really, really need to try this sport yourself....

Hey wow, didn't expect such negativity. Honestly, my friend told me about this site because I have been begging for him to shoot crows for me. He is a duck hunter, so he doesn't shoot crows often. I went to school for taxidermy at Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC. I just started doing taxidermy as a hobby outside of school. Here are some pictures of my work. I understand you all are skeptical because of past experiences with animal rights activist but I can assure I am not. Anyways, if you have any crows please let me know. I need around 50 to start out with. I will be happy to taxidermy something for you for free in exchange of crows.
I think CritterAngel has satisfied any concerns I had over her legit request for crows!! Love her work especially the skull mount as BobA mentioned. I live about 90 minutes from her...and am going to try and fill her request for crows to practice on. Anyone else so interested is welcome.
If I get down to Eden any time soon, I will definately go out for some mounting subjects for you. I have been wanting to do some crow hunting again in NC.
