I saw quite a few flying over my place yesterday. to busy with the cows to do any shooting so i thought i would plan a pre dawn ambush for today. The crows around here are trained well so i thought i would try something different. Had everything set up as you see including 4 dead crows positioned on the brush pile. no caller, just the decoys & owl.  BUT, just at the crack of first light i decided to go turn the owl a little & wouldn't you know i got spotted !  He flew past & was raising kane about 400 yards away telling all his buddys. Lots of caw caw caw for about twenty minutes then silence & not a crow to be seen.  i packed it up . those guys are smart !!  i've trained them to well.

Sorry your luck wasn't better. I never had much luck with an owl decoy, others on here have had great luck.
