Nice photo, They were probably swarming the dead. It was dark enough that Dick quit shooting ? Dale and I were on a fly way shoot one evening and the wind was wrong so after shooting about 20 birds we stopped. We watched for about an hour and what a swarm by the hundreds in the sky just kept hovering around checking out their downed partners. That adds the question, I always pick up the birds, my partner tends to leave them on the ground. I wonder if that effects the birds in that same place by leaving the dead ?? Paul.

If you let them go I’m guessing that you want to hit that spot again sometime this season. Hope the weather is treating you 2 well!

Jason, you bet.
Dick and I killed 640 on that shoot and could have easily shot another hundred at the last dog. Butt.......instead of being short sighted that spot is good for another shoot in 2 to 3 weeks when the birds settle down. Providing they don't change their habits!

Paul, Dick and I both quit shooting but could have shot for another 45 minutes easily, it would have been as fast as you could have kept the guns loaded.
We will have another day at them when weather conditions are right for that spot.

I'm glad I had a camera in the blind with me to get that photo Randy.
Here is an outstanding photo where we let the mobs go after shooting in this spot all afternoon long.
