I see almost zero interest on Crow Busters as compared to previous seasons, why? 

Here is a photo of one of my partners who hunted crows in Maryland, New York State and Pennsylvania. 

Love your blind, just wondering if anyone uses river cane like I do to add to my TangleFree blind?

personnellement, je ne vais pas souvent à la chasse en raiison de mon travail. Je chasse princiipalement pendant le weekend. Et aussi la raison qui m'empeche de n'y aller pas la maladie dentaire que j'ai, mais j'ai trouvé une solution en utilisant un produit de blanchissement dentaire qui cesse la douleur dentaire dans demi-heure. Pour nous, chasseurs, nous devrions planifier une sortie ensemble.

Hey Mattie,

Yes!  When it is close-by I definitely use it.  Makes brushing-in a cinch!  How long does it stay green after you cut it?  Actually, one of the blinds I used a few weeks ago was brushed-in with it.  I will post a photo when I figure out how.   How many hours from Jackson are you located?

Here are the 3 hunts I've had so far this season.   The first was probably the most exciting hunt I've had.  I wasn't expecting much but the crows were in some kinda mood that morning.  I shot 30 between sunrise and 8:30.  This was a south facing blind so I decided to call it when the sun started getting in my eyes.   I went and got my truck and drove it around to my blind.  Then I picked up all my decoys and left the decoy bag sitting right in front of my blind while I checked the woods behind my blind for any more K.I.A's.  While I was doing that a lone crow came in and began screaming at the dead ones on the ground.  I snuck back into my blind and killed it for a total of thirty-one.  Crazy! All with my truck and decoy bag right there! (one of the pics shows the scene)  The next hunt I only got 3 (Mattie, this is the one I used river cane to bush-in with. you can see it in the background).  Just could not get them interested in my spread.  The wind was wrong and I think that played a big part.   The last hunt netted 43- my personal best.   It actually would have been several more but the hawks were very much enjoying my cripples.  I hope to hit this farm again in a week or two!

Had a good hunt last week.  Started out with a lite snow while I was setting out the decoys (always noteworthy in Mississippi) but turned into a little on-and-off spitting rain.  The crows didn't seem to mind though.  Ended-up with 42.  Also had a bald eagle soar directly above my blind only about 30 feet up.  That was a first for me.   I hope these pics don't end-up sideways again...   If so, my apologies!

 Good work Rob. Thanks for the pictures. Someone smarter than me will have to tell you how to keep them straight. 

 Bald eagles used to be a rare sight around here. Now they're everywhere and a guy doesn't give them a second thought. They sure are a majestic bird, especially at thirty feet.

 So, what's more uncommon, the snow or the eagle?

I haven't been on the forum much lately but I'm still at it more than ever!

I’m still hunting crows, along with all my other hunting passions. A buddy and I went crow hunting this past Saturday and we only got 8 but saw hundreds. This was my first trip of the year. There were crows flying south to north out in front of us, very high up and noisy with almost grunt like vocalizations. The steady stream of crows lasted 20 or 30 minutes. Our electronic caller got their attention and some teased us by slightly dropping down to give us a closer look but in the end they got back in line and disappeared. They must have been several hundred feet in the air. Our hides were good, we had a couple deeks in the short trees over our heads. The crows we were lucky enough to get came from behind us and were interested in our 15 or so full bodied flocked decoys and “Bob”, a motorized decoy I fashioned that bobs up and down as if pecking at something. Its almost like the high flying crows were migrators and the crows we got were locals. Just no pulling those high flyers. I appreciate just how smart crows are, compared to other birds we hunt, like dove, ducks and geese. I’m in Maryland.

Bob A. I notice too the reduction is CB posting. Perhaps members cannot afford ammo anymore, or have taken two jobs to pay family expenses due to rampart inflation and can no longer affford the gas to check out crow spots and consequently dthey don't have the "free" time to actually hunt. Perhaps some favorite spots could be out of range of "almost" required electric vehicles.  My state is one of the most "moved to" states in the union and I can count right now three super crow massacre spots that are no more due to builting of shopping center and housing projects... with more to come in areas that just a few years ago were farming country. Illegals are squatting on one of my farms ( peanut farmers ) making it more difficult for the land owner to grant permission for fear of confrontation and legal issues. And I cannot end without saying a new and huge solar farm (next door) has restricted, soon to eliminate I fear, my hunting as owner fears issues with "shot" damaging panels.  But on positive note, thank goodness, I still do have enough peanut and pecan farms left to maintain my enthusiasm!
