That is a damn nice model 12 Ted. You are a man of refined taste.

Always enjoyed the feel of a M12 pumpgun Bob. Have “modern” stuff as well. Beretta A400 Upland for when I’m forced to shoot steel shot, Win 97’s A5’s and a couple beretta trap guns as well
That be a stunner M12 20. Too nice to lean in the corner of a blind . Factory engraving and inlays I trust.

It belonged to one of my Grandmother's brothers and he willed it to me when he passed away 50 years ago. He hunted quail with that gun in Texas. I hunted quail with it in Kansas and Oklahoma. I took it on a few crow hunts but liked my two other 20 gauge model 12's better because one was FC and the other modified.
Had my very best average with that gun on an afternoon flyway shoot where I shot 99 crows with 106 20 gauge hulls! Most shots were 20 to 25 yards that afternoon.

20-25 yards, only way one can consistently make high kill to shot ratio!
As the title indicates, my spring shooting had begun. Out yesterday evening and shot 9 crows with one possible.
Seems every spring crows get tougher to call as they have been shot at plenty before returning north to Canada.
Everyone and their uncle John today seem to have an electronic caller of some design and blasting same sounds at the birds.
Lots of “duffers” educating crows. Below a pic of my fist crow of the 2024 crow season!
