I was wondering where I can find the poles to mount the decoys in the trees at. I know the kite pole is the one where u hang the dec from it and let it flop around. I guess mayby im looking for a dec pole then...i dunno...any help...i believe this was on the old forum but its no longer there and now Im looking for one...thank you

I use a cheap extendable aluminium painters pole,and I have old alumium tent pole that fits on the end,I can put dekes up to 23'-0 with it.smile

I use a extendable golf ball retriever. I think it reaches 16 feet.

crow pole 2.JPGThe only plastic deek I ever use. Mounted on an 8 foot pole and dressed with a dead crow. I do hunt more open country though. Also tye two dead crows together by the heads and toss the lot up into higher trees as well. Works relly well, just be sure to shoot down these as I do not like to advetizewink

I bought 4 5' sections of 1/2 rigid conduit and 3 connectors. Inexpensive and works well. Made a hanger out of a ............clothers hanger. Bent it to fit in hole in the back of my Avery Flocked Decoy. Kind of an "S" shape but a little different to fit the conduit and be able to release it once on a limb.

lol....u guys gave me all the right ideas...except for the actual thing.....but it doesnt matter because i like these better. ii like the painters pole. Iv never seen a golf ball retreiver before though. thank you guys very much

I gave you the right info,I use my sentry pole as my Jackite pole when I use a kite,I drive a 3/4 round bar rod into the ground and my pole fits onto it.I do not want to be carrying two poles for two different applications.smile

Crok,,,, I'm a fan of the golf ball retriever. I have a neighbor that grow Japanese bamboo. I cut a 10 foot section and added it on to the end of my retreiver, and it gave me about 26 feet. I tried the conduit and it was a good idea but way to heavy for me... I used Shanes Idea about the kite too. After I hang my deeks I then extend my pole and clip my kite to it and start killin!!!!! I got my retriever at walmart for about 12 bucks. it retracts down to about 5 foot,,,Works great and is extremely light!!!!!!!!!


You smellin them Blackfeet???? No my horse,,,Dirtiest animal this side a hell!!!!

Hey, what do you think of a Mojo Critter sat in the ground and turned on with a couple of flocked dekes right up on it like they are attacking it would attract them to the ground? What about a stuffed animal (2' long) with a couple of dekes over it and others standing around waiting their turn?

I bet it weighs with out weighing it a touch heavyer than the average gun 6-9 lbs I'd guess but I'll weigh it and get back to ya.

I was off it's 13.85 lbs but can be pinned in these lengths
22-26-30-35-40 ft but you can hold it at any length you want and @ -14 lbs it carrys nice

he may have shorter ones for sale also

 Yep that how i got my owl set up. I even put rods in mine. I cut a clothes hanger in half and run rods in the ears. If they do get close it sure think it bit them winkbiggrin

he does have some shorter ones available along with the heavier/longer one.

Depends on how long you really want the longer one is prolly 15 lbs I'd guess.
Shorter ones may be cheaper. 25 ft held chest high is about 30 ft remember that too.

Question for Bob?? I beleive this was asked before on the old forum but I cant remember. How do you hang your decoys in the trees. Do you use like a fishing line tied to 2 and toss them up. If so, how do you get them back down? I was watching your dvd and wondering to myself. Thank you

i def like that, weight, collapsable size, extended size and price isnt to bad.
i just went to home depot and they have a painters pole thats reaches to 18'. it collapses to only 6' though and costs i beleive about $36. again like jd says, chest high or arms extended can reach to about 25', which is pretty darn high. at least when i did that in the store it seemed like it. any one of these contraptions, Im just gona tape a hooked hanger to the tip and wala. like a pole holder for fishin.
