I've thought bout using one on some of the railroad grades round here
not only for crows but also for fox and coyotes. Some of thoes railroad grades run threw some deep public land tracts where normal hunters think is to far from there vehicle and they may get lost. If you had a small trailer that would be the ticket but loading and un loading out of a bed of a pick up for just one set may be a pain. But I am glad it works for you.
I could also see that if you hauled a flat of shells and a bunch of decoys your chair cooler dancing girls for when the action slows down they would be the cats meow .
Keep us posted of what you find works out best with it.

Glad to see that you are enjoying you're new toy. They are very handy where you can't get a 4x4 pickup into some areas.

I can drive right to the spot I want to hunt about 90% of the time and the other 10% I just do it the old fashioned way, haul it in and haul it out.

You can still get those rigs ( Polaris ) high centered in deep snow, but they are a lot easier to dig out than a pickup!

Last year I hunted a farm where I had my best day. The farmer request that I do away with the birds,,,, I had to carry almost a hundred crows out of the field. I almost blew a valve!!!! Them days are over boys. Shane I will get pics soon!!!!

Hello Chip,

That reminds me of a hunt many years ago where the land owner said don't bother picking them up. Then that evening I get a call and he is mad and says don't come back!! I asked what was wrong, he said his wife got all upset seeing all the dead crows ( over 200 ) laying in the pasture while she was riding her horse. I mentioned to him that he was the one who told me it was ok to leave em lay! I said if I come down there tomorrow and pick them all up and in the future pick them all up would it be ok to still hunt there? He said yes which was a great relief to me as that was a good spot, I had some shoots there where I shot in the high three hundreds, this was only an hours drive from my house. I used to use a pitch fork so I wouldn't have to bend over as many times picking them up when I was done shooting.

Need to invent a bucket for the front of that wheeler kind of like a snow plow to pick them babies up.

I lost a spot like that this past season. I only killed about 24 or 25 birds and left them lay. The guys wife was at a function we had for work a couple days later and gave me what for!!!! From now on I will pick up my birds on private land no matter what!!! Anyway it aggrivates Shanedog if you don't take pics of em...LOL!!!

Hey Guys,I have to say that since I have been hunting crows,that I always pick them up,I just dont like the Idea off a bunch of dead crow stinking up the farmers land,I also make an effort to pick up the wads at some of the hayfields that get shot a bunch of times a year,it doesnt take long,you will not get all of them but it narrows the chance of a cow choking on a claybusters wad!!!I also rake out my blinds and keep them clean of hulls and stuff. I guess its because we are loosing good hunting ground all the time,that I do not want a farmer to say a bad word about my use of the land. smile
