Favorite hand call?

I have not yet to spend over $20 on a call yet but i have tried alot of the cheaper ones i must say. I seem to perfer the all wood calls. it seems that they put a better sound out than the plastic ones. I have noticed that the ones on crowmart are sculpted very nice and have a plastic mouth piece but im sure they sound better than the store bought ones. Anyways, my favorite so far, that i have bought 2 of them because it has froze on me in the field already and frustrated me is the Penns Woods Crow Call. $5 and i think almost the cheapest I have bought.

I will purchase a nice one from crowmart once I believe I am strong enough on the hand call to deserve to spend more than 20 on a call.

The Jack Mincey and Cedar Slayer are both nice. I'm going to get a Gibson before season starts.

I'm a fan of the Cedar Slayer, Gibson Short Barrel, and Mallardtone.

Gibson or Mincey.. tough to beat. Both are made to exacting dimensions, quality control is excellent and both are easily tuned.  I cannot say that for the mass produced calls.. Both Gibson and Mincey are available should you have a question about their calls. Good service is a good thing these days.

I have a Hunting Specialists one and a Gibson short mag. I also have an old wood one that I have no idea who made it or when...like em all.
