Can someone tell me what the difference is between these two guns ? I have a trade offer for a SBE. I am still waiting to hear back from this guy , but I figured that I would ask.
Puppy I have one of each and I absolutly love both. I use the sbe on crows and snow geese cause it has an extension on it. I use the sbe 2 on canada geese during our early season and I have the new venci that i use during our duck season. M 1 20 gauge that I use for doves. All very good reliable guns. I can shoot any load through any of these guns and not have a bit of trouble.
Now you asked for the differance in the 2 guns. The only differance that i can tell you is the comfort tech stock and the way they look.
Thanks guys I know I can always count on ya'll. Well after checking my emails tonight, it looks like I will be getting the SBE 1 and a 17HMR thumbhole stock with a fluted barrel to boot.
I use an SBE for all my shot gunning. Love it. trying to convince the wife that I need a SBEII. I only want it for the comfortect stock, my understanding is that it is more adjustable for individual fit. The SBE has shims to adjust the drop but not the cheek. I used a Rem 870 Express Mag previously and I had to adjust my mount a little with the SBE. The best thing I like about the Benellis is the inertia driven loading. It will simply shoot any load without any issues.
If you are getting the SBE, I can certainly bet you're going to love it!
Well their at home now and the Bigdog, ( that would be Caitlynn ) she has laid claim to both of them. She said she would share up to the point to where she grows into the gun. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon we can take it out for a test run on some skeet. I figure with the way she throws it up and shoulders it, she is only about an inch off of being in to the Benelli, she might just be able to hold a 7/8 ounce shell. We'll see. Monday I am ordering the Kicker Choke for it. Hopefully soon enough I will be able to take it out.
Well the test run and my arm is about to fall off. Its a pain to throw a box of skeet and then try to shoot them down. But I must say that after a box of skeet the SBE did not hick-up once. Now last year I borrowed a SBE II, which jammed 5 times due to shooting 7/8 ounce loads. For me the SBE II was a little off but I must say that after today and the SBE I , I was really pleased. I compaired the next to nothing weight of the gun to the loads I was running through it. I would definitely say that, it rocks. Now I can't wait till I put a Kicker on the end of it.

Aw they make shims if your not hitting right,.... ya see this is a lesson I will let out of the bag,, hey I know this is an old post but reading is a hobby of mine..Tom Nap got me on this and its the gods honest truth. I married a woman that knew nothing about how to shoot a shotgun.. First I was a drill Sargent and got her without thinking,,,, muscle memory about SAFETY then I tough her this little trick I will now share with the world. Take your shot gun EMPTY double check it as you will have your finger on the trigger in the HOUSE
Okay I did try to post this information and for some reason or another it was too much type and did not come thru on my post. Learning to shoot a shotgun for many can be hard and with the price of shells it can be costley. Taking your shotgun UNLOADED find something in the room Such as a Door Knob.... raise your shotgun with Both Eyes open and point as to,,, BUT do not pull the triger,, Shoot the door knob.. hold it and using the eye away from the stock close it and site down the barrel as if it was a rifle... NOT on line... GOOD.... ADJUST your stock while still holding that one eye closed.. NOW kinda Bump that stock against your shoulder as to Seat it.....Now put the gun back down and rest...... DO this for 5 minutes 2 times a week..... Remember when you get this proper alinement down,,, Bringing the stock up where your on target with Both eyes open it will help your wing shooting many folds over.... ONE thing I would like to state,,,, hold your head up stright and Bring the Stock to your face..... Have fun,,, My wife could not hit over 2 clays out of 10 until she did this for one week... she then shot 7 to 8 clays out of 10,,, Now she can shoot 97 without a miss... well thats her record..Try this people you will see,,, BUT for the Love of god PLEASE triple check your shotgun before doing this and always keep your safty on...

Well, I finally got a good test run with my SBE. I can say that I am extremely please with the gun. To have worn several layers of clothes dew to the ice and snow, the gun fits great. Now i just need to order a Kicks Choke for the gun.
Duck, thank you very much for the offer, but the gun fits really good.
