Anyone need a Dove Field

I had to do some recon after trying to throw my arm off this afternoon. Our Dove season is only a month away. I had to find some field with some food in them. It looks like our local WRC has done some planting down by the lake. Good for them. Here are some pics of what I found.

Looks good. Our season starts Sept. 1. We planted sunflowers in two locations, so hopefully we'll have a good year. The rain delayed our planting by about a month, so I hope they mature shortly after season starts...I don't know, though. They are growing really fast.

I love dove season.

Hi PP,

Very nice looking plot.  The TCP team are getting our leases in order and plan a run to the west to the Olney, TX area for a dove hunt in mid-to-late September.  Olney is the home of the famous "One Arm Dove Hunt" - http://www.onearmdovehunt.com/.  You have to love Texas and Texans. Only in America - land of the free and home of the brave!

Regards,

Yep, I talked with the fellows and they said that they are ready and waiting to go. Only problem is that I scouted another area this afternoon and nothing. A hole lot of corn but no birds. We still have a couple of weeks. I really hope things change.

Here's a pic of the gang.

All the pigeons that I have ever seen in NC are in the cities. Now if we could go to down town Durham or Raleigh, you could literally melt a barrel down from all of the birds.
