Took my youngster out for a bit of Run and Gunning on crows. Birds are all flocked up now in preparation for migration. Shot some nice doubles and one tripple but sadly reponding crows came in large groups. Made for a good time for Junior but sadly educated a whole lot of crows for the number we had shot.
Don't be sad about educatin them bandits,,, You let that young nothern boy educate away!!! I got me a young southern boy down here that is fixin to give them bandits a masters degree when they git here!!!! LOL!!!!
You aren't going to get many crows with out educating a few. Besides after the dumb ones are fun but after you educate em they are some times more rewarding to get the smart ones too. Let him educate em next year there will be a whole new batch of green ones to call to.

Right on that 1983. One can't shoot crows without educating a few but I just hate firing on large groups, I'm talking flocks in the hundreds. More so when my intent is to hunt the same area over a period of weeks. Common problem this time of the year when birds are grouped up in preparation for migration.
