My 15 year old and I were invited on a dove shoot. I had to drive quite a ways but boy was it worth it. 176 doves on the tailgate at days end The best part was that 4 youngsters were on the shoot and the action was fast. Fresh cut corn field and doves by the hundreds!!! The best part was my sons shooting. He shot 80 percent He has come sooo far!!! His first raise was a beautiful double on birds breaking the sound barrier. When I saw that I layed down the MAXUS and folded my arms and watched him perform. I just kept feeding him gun club loads and watching as my chest got bigger and bigger. He was dumping secondary birds that the older guys were missing on several occassions. Man that boy was in a zone He really made the old man proud We've worked hard this summer and my arm dam near fell of throwing clays but it has really paid off. All that with a pump gun too!! When bandit season comes in I wont be swinging to back him up like the days in the past. I believe he will stand alone he will be tough to beat in a crow hide. He shot my MAXUS a little but I had to change chokes before I put it in his hands. He kind of reminds me of a kid I used to know back in the late 60's He was light years ahead of the other boys. I think I may have ruined him though, he just don't want to play any sports in the fall, It keeps him out of the field..........
I say good job for takeing him hunting. Hey i think it best in field and not sports some times. When he get older will not have any knee ploblems . Foot ball comes back at a lot of them when they get older. But than that my thought. I did run track my self and i have no ploblems. All ways have a good hunt and a safe one
