I was out this afternoon with my Benjamin Discovery .22 air rifle pursuing the elusive bushytail when I noted a bunch of crows on the ground...it was a dark cloudy day with a fair breeze...rain threatening...through this I hurled myself into the maelstrom of the hunt...I parked around behind a finger of trees...disembarked from the Small Game Assault Vehicle...primed my Disco for The Killing Fields...then using years of field craft, cunning and Mobile Objective Terrain Analysis...and my Fall Brown enviroblend camo...I slowly made my way towards my targets...making less noise then an Apache Ghost walking on a firld of cotton...noting the thick terrain..I zeroed in on a game path which I took...no brush and quiet walking...I slowly slipped from tree to tree...I froze as a chipmunk popped up onto a log 10 feet from me..staring at me...would his dash for cover and loud squeal blow my cover?...he loked...and looked...and then away he zipped...my cover secure...I moved forward again...all senses on high...I could feel my heart beat...my vision was locked forward like heat seeking radar...I cut the distance in half...I could hear my loud raucous targets...I put a huge oak between me and the Black Bandits...I felt like the alien in the Predator movie...I am one with the woods...invisible...deadly...I make the cover of the tree...I am behind it looking though a fork in the tree...I count 12 targets...thats 24 sharp, wary, eyes I have shut down!...I pick my target...40 yards away...I ease the Disco through the fork in the tree and rest it for a rock solid rest...I have the scope set on 5x...everything is clear as crystal...I settle the cross hairs on center body mass...I tell myself DONT JERK THE TRIGGER...I take a deep breath and hold it...I dont so much consciously squeze the trigger as I will it to close with my mind...it almost surprises me when the Disco cracks...no recoil...the Bandit jerks and goes down instantly...the other Bandits freeze....Im going for the reload swift silent deadly.....TOO LATE!...they are airborne...a few circles and loud complaints and they are gone...I sit down on a log and let all the tension out...I am no longer the Apex Predator......Bringer of Death....I am just a guy with a pellet gun.

It was a good hunt because usually when I stalk crows the story has a different ending haha !

Oh yeah, taking them down, one at a time. Way to go.
