COOL BLINDS,WIND NOT SO GOOD

The blind looks all well and good, but where are the dead crows to go with it?

Here is a "cool blind". An impounded bulldozer caught filling in a wetland by the feds was sitting for years. It was turned into a snow goose blind by the late Donald Hughes (right). Blind was in a place he called Hardscrabble Delaware. That's me on the left. It was a successful snow goose hunt January 1999.

Thats a great blind!!!! you have think out of the box sometimes when constructing a good blind.

The avatar is a picture of gunsmith Alan Myers of England firing a shoulder mounted single barrel TWO (2) gauge with blackpowder at night.

Cool blind Shane. You ever worry about snakes in a place like that? Around here, we have to be very careful going into places like that between the months of April and November. In the last month, I killed a copperhead and a cotton mouth in my back yard, and its neatly mowed.

You have to keep an eye open for the sand rattlers in my neck of the woods until it gets frosty outside.

I had a blind similar to NH's blind set on the north side of an old combine. Made a great wind break in a south wind. Used that old blind for many years until the crows up and left the whole area. That blind is in the dvd "Crow Shooting" where 447 crows get shot that morning on a bean field.
