My first crack at crow hunting.

I went down to hunting camp to set up some deer stands for our club. I had purchased some decoys from the local hunting shop and put two deeks out by the house and set up the Foxpro not too far away. I didn't have high hopes because I was just lounging in a folding chair in front of the old house having a cold water colling off before I got back to work. I hit the Foxpro and two crows came in in less than 2 minutes. My first double! About 5 minutes later another solo came and popped him as well. Not bad for about 10 minutes worth of half hearted hunting. :)

I was using my Benelli Nova and some Wally World Federal. Seemed to work pretty good. I sure wish i had a semi auto shotgun though.

Welcome to black rain sickness if you thought it was easy you are in for some good head shaking. Sometimes they will do the dumbest things and then the next time you can be hid better than a teenage boy in his girlfriends bushes while dad is on the prowl and they will act like they can sense you are there. Welcome have fun. Looks like you really dusted them with the whole 1 1/8 oz of shot way to go.

Welcome Virginian, nice work on the crows! Is that an AR on your shooting bench? You should try popping a few crows with that!

Actually, there's another gun hidden in the picture that you can just see the stock on. Can you find it? :)

I'll post a pic or two of some crows that I've sniped with my ar and some rimfire.

Ding... Ding... Ding... We have a winner! Good eye. I was sitting in that folding chair underneath the tree and when they flew in, I ran behind my truck and popped up to fire. I guess I left my shotgun by the truck when I went to collect the crows.

Well, as promised, here's a picture of a crow I sniped with my AR. I hit this one at 170 yards. It landed on the ground and stayed still long enough for me to squeeze a round off.

...and here's one I hit with a 17 Mach II at 115 yards. Unfortunately, this thread contains every crow I've ever shot. As I said, I'm a n00b at this. I hope to be able to contribute some more pictures for everyone as I work on it.

Eric
