Migration on in full force in NH

Lots of birds moving again today.  It was a blustery day with high winds but the setup remained effective.  I got out of work at noon and found 500 to maybe 1000 around one farm I hunt.  Most of them took off when I drove in but I knew it was going to be good. Shooting started fast and furious and it took me several attempts to make an uninterrupted phone call to my hunting partner to tell him to get to my location and bring lots of ammo.  The action slowed down soon after he arrived but I managed to swat 21 birds and he took down an additional 7.

This year has been a weird one with hardly any birds around in September compared to a usual year and a giant rush of them this month.  Both my hunting partner and I have had a record season for birds killed and we have been doing this for a long time. Will be back at it in the AM.

The birds seem to move here in pa when the weather is breezy and not raining. Must have some thing to do with riding the wind currents south. Less effort on there part. Seeing a few good flocks here in pa.
