1st Crow hunt and liked it!

Hi all, I just went on my first crow hunt this morning and man I liked it! Set up my decoy spread just before daybreak, put out the busterII & turned on the FP firestorm and went to my blind,Turned on the remote and away I went. Here they come flying low, high circling and trying to attack buster,I ended up getting two waves of the black varmints and several late flying loaners coming in.
I shot down 8 and only retreived 3 due to not finding the remaining crows in the brush on the hillside and two that land darted in the middle of the creek.

All in all it was an awesome morning,I am going to have to practice alot with my wing shooting though:)as it's alot trickier than it looked for me I guess. I am an avid hunter of coyotes, turkeys,Squirrel but I am going to say Crow Hunting is sweet!and will be doing alot of it from now on biggrin
I have included a couple pics of my spread and blind and the aftermath.
take it easy!

Hi CH and Welcome Aboard!

We knew you would like it.  Sounds like you have the important gear and you just need more reps - and that is a fun assignment.

Try loading the Johnny Stewart Owl and Crow Fight sound along with their Death Cry of the Crow on your FoxPro.  They are two of our favorites.

Keep the postings and photo's coming.  We enjoy reviewing them.

Warm regards,

Gadget Bob

Hi,
Welcome aboard.

What sounds did you use in that setup?

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Pat,
All the calls I have are from fox pro, Once I started hearing crows waking up and crowing across the farm land I hit the crow gathering call and the fun began,Then once the first wave was over I hit the crow fight call and another wave came flying in and after about 15 minutes thereafter I then started blowing the hand call and plus hit the crow duet on the Ecaller and had a dozen + fly in randomly checking out everything. All together my stand this morning was a little over 2hrs long.
