As a self-proclaimed beginner, here is one thing you should know: No self-respecting crow hunter will ever give you good locations to hunt the same prey they are after. The only way to find locations to hunt is to put in the work yourself or possibly hunt with local friends that have done it before.
Couple more thoughts:
Go to the OR state website and they will have listings for all the state land in your area that is open to hunting. Make sure the season is open in your area before you head out.
Drive around and find crows...then ask landowner if you can hunt crows. Thats that.
Todd, Welcome to the site, Do a drive around a couple mornings and look in open fields or crop fields throughout your area, If you see some good crow counts ask the landowner or farmer adjacent to the property if you can hunt his crows.That is what I have been doing and now have around 28 nice crop farms to hunt crows and yotes and still counting. Take a drive in a 15-45 mile radius of your perspective huntable areas and look for birds in farm fields and around any agriculture. Find out who owns that property and ask for permission to hunt crows. Plain clothes and friendly even if they say no. Most ranchers or farmers as we call them will be glad to let you shoot crows. Also ask if any of their friends,fellow farmers or relatives may be inclined to let you hunt. We have learned word of mouth is your best friend, but clean up and respect them and their property or it will have the exact opposite effect. Also get phone number so you can call ahead so they'll know it is you and won't come up in the middle of your hunt.
