While my solo shoot is completely overshadowed by Bob A's recent outings, I'm still quite proud of my results on Sunday morning. Due to a sudden illness, I was the only TCP member fit for duty, and one of our spots was covered in crows. We were afraid the crows might be educated, because we had killed nearly 30 at that location on Friday afternoon, but I went anyway since I had nothing better to do.
I put out 2 decoys, turned on the Snow Crow Pro, and sat down in plain sight at the base of a pecan tree. I hunted from sunrise, til about noon, and stacked up 65 bodies (most were down by about 10:30). The crows were a little skiddish, but they were just curious enough to give me a shooting window on the downwind side of the caller (I was sitting 30 yards downwind of the caller and decoys).
I probably accounted for more crows than this on some of TCP's bigger group shoots, but this is by far the most I have killed by myself. I drove away grinning from ear to ear. Still am...

Congrats on you're latest adventure. It's a good feeling when a fella knows all the birds are his. Thats why when I shoot with another shooter we take turns shooting, that way we know who killed what in regard to the TBC at the end of the day.
Did Skip go home already?

Yes Bob, Skip left yesterday afternoon, he was only here for a couple of days. It sure was fun hunting with him. He didn't exactly care for all of our gadgetry and shenanigans, but we still had a great time, and thats what counts.
Matt that sounds like it was an exceptional day! Excellent job, maybe someday I hope to be able to wack 65 of them, oh well I'm halfway there I guess so far my solo count is 30.
A Big +1 on that splash, there is not a feather out of line in that grid is there, kinda looks like he just clubbed them with a ball bat as they flew by the tree Man that looks good! Nice pics!
Shane, I take pride in orderly grids. I want it to look like Arlington Cemetary... Not really, I just want anyone viewing the pic the be able to easily count the bodies. For this particular pic, I put the rows a little too close together, so I had to climb a tree, and take the picture from a steeper angle to get the right perspective. All in a day's work.
