I agree call F&G office but don't stop by just asking, get a name contact info and ask to have the info given verified by supervisor. Then get the name and contact info of supervisor. I realize this is redundant, but it may save your a$$ and a big old fine. A conservation officer will not give bad info on purpose, but if they know you can recontact them they will be correct,or take your contact info and get back when they are sure.

You need to call the DFG. The lead ban was put in place because of the endangered California condor..and if the Republic of California can gain an inch on you they will roast your chestnuts on an open fire.

NO you CANT use LEAD in the condor zone. Crows are NON-GAME birds. Lead is only ok for small-game animals and upland-game birds. Side note: you do not HAVE to use steel, any non-toxic shot is legal
