Jason: Always good to hear from our UK friends... I think you have been having some cold weather. How does that effect your crow hunting and may I ask what kind of weapon and ammo you use? I sure like that picture..  crows and wood pigeons. Nice pile.

Hi Skip, the cold weather makes for good hunting.. especialy if snow is on the ground. Just clear a couple of patches three or four sqaure yds to reveal the grass or soil.. then place some decoys in a feeding set up, and enjoy the action... if you still have feeling in your fingers that is.. minus 13 here last Monday!!!

Hi Skogman, looks like you know how to have fun in nature judging by your avatar picture!!! How do the firearms law differ in Germany compared to the UK? We just had another shooting in London... which is not good for us law abidding gun owners, let alone the chap that got shot!!

Hi Jon,  thanks for the welcome.. its been nearly two years i think, since i last posted on here.. i've set up my own business since, and that has taken up too much time to even hunt as much as i'd like to... i've now swapped the crowzac for a maxus.. so hopefully i can get to  post some more pictures!!!

Hi Isun,

on the weeekend when the avatar picture was taken we shot 316 crows in Northern-Bavaria.

In Germany, there are over 365,000 registered hunters. To gain the right to hunt, one must complete hunter safety schooling and a series of gun training courses. The crime rate among hunters in the country is very low.

But after the last rampage in March 2009, the government was pressured to toughen gun laws in the country to prevent further juvenile attacks. In that attack, one of the deadliest in Germany, a 17-year-old former student at a school in Winnenden in the southwest of the country, used a gun owned by his father to shoot nine of his fellow students, three teachers and three others, before killing himself.

Hi Jsun,

Welcome back and Happy New Year from the Texas Crow Patrol.  Texas Matt and I picked up Maxus's based on Skip's recommendation and are delighted with them.  I hope that nut's action in London doesn't translate into more gun restrictions for you.

Hi Skogman,

Great avatar and it is good to have you as a fellow Crowbuster!  My wife has travelled to your beautiful country on a couple of occasions and loves it.  Me, I stay here in the states whacking crows and other varmints.

We love seeing the results and hearing about hunting around the world so please keep posting.

All the Best!

Shanedog, i am in the south of England, a small town called Romsey, home of the late, Lord Louis Mountbatten. It's about 10 miles north of Southampton.

Gadget, i have always used Berreta's (Apart from a Hatsan semi auto) then i had the privilage of using a Maxus owned by the legend himself.. "Sir Skip woody"  Noble Woodpigeon shooter appointed to the royal court of Winchester, England... worship.gif

I did'nt shoot very well with it on the day,  but it felt much better than any other semi auto i have used, and the recoil reduction is superb, not forgetting the quick load feature which as Skip will tell you, is ideal for pigeons. Now i have my own Maxus set up for my fit, it is awesome!!

Jon, i am an agricultural contractor.. i have my own tractor.. which of course, is a John Deere..biggrin I work on 15/20 different farms throughout the year, and now have more hunting permission than i ever had. The downside is, i dont get time to hunt... and seeing all those crows/pigeons feeding just yards from the tractor drives me mad!!!

Sounds like you need to equip that Deere with a gun rack!! Happy new year from Mississippi!
