Had a first class day of Crow hunting with the total professionals. Had a great crow shoot and learned a lot from you guys. I can not thank you enough! Life only has memories and you gave me some great ones:
Watching you guys kill the crap out of stuff with the metro guns was amazing. When you can shoot doubles with those things it is like WOW.
Watching Lone Star Phil shoot like a trick shooter with that metro gun was amazing. Laying on his back and shooting like 9 birds in a row with out a miss
Watching a TCP sandwich.
The worst part of the day was me missing so many crows. It defiantly motivated me to learn how to shoot a metro gun. Since I know a guy can learn how to shoot one after watching you guys crush them.
I learned a lot from you guys thanks so much.
The metro gun just one more tool in the crow killers bag of tricks.
Sorry I brought the snow down to Dallas with me!

Thanks for lugging your Minnesota Modified blind to Texas! That was a game changer!
It was a pleasure crowing with you.
You'll gain confidence in your long gun - the challenge is to both ignore the barrel extension when cheeking the piece and at the same time, keeping it out of the branches.
Glad you had a chance to hunt with Gadget Bob and his crew. Did they take you to any good rib joints down there?
We have the best rib shack I've ever been too right here in Hutchinson. I've had ribs all over the country and Roy's Ribs are the best I ever had, the meat just falls right off the bones.
Whenever I stay at Dicks winter home in Oklahoma I always bring a few slabs of ribs from Hutchinson for him & his wife.
So, you only hunted one day with the Patrol? When did you hunt with the Texas boys?

It was a real pleasure hosting you yesterday and I wish this bad Texas weather didn't thwart our hunting plans today. You made the right choice getting an earlier flight today. Many of the vendors at the Dallas Safari Club Convention this afternoon were getting those painful texts and voicemails announcing flight cancellations today and into tomorrow.
We appreciated learning about your approach to crow hunting and your suggested tweaks on blinds should prove very helpful to us. We also appreciated your seeing the value of "Metroguns" as another tool in the pouch for certain hunting situations.
You are clearly a "Hunter, Deluxe Grade" and we hope you will visit the TCP again when the weather is better and we can hunt longer. Note I ordered Lone Star and T-Matt to shoot lights out in front of you and they never disappoint!
Yo Shane,
You should just point the Porsche southwest and crack the throttle... You will be here in no time. We will have a TCP Metrogun in your hands and crows in the air upon arrival.
Hi Bob,
Due to time constaints and bad weather today, we only ate at chain restaurants. We vow to do better the next time John visits. We fed Skip some excellent Texax BBQ in November and he loved it.
Those Hutchison ribs sure sound good... And I hope your ribs are healing up and feeling better.
I'm doing much better now that almost a month has passed. I still have to watch it, I can tell I'm feeling better, since Dick carries all my ammo I loaded my blind bag with 500 rounds instead of 400! Lol he went to sling the bag over his shoulder and the strap broke on the bag, the last laugh was on me!
So when did John's flight leave Texas?
Talk to you soon, I gotta throw another log on the fire, it's snowing here in Hutchinson right now.

Bob I was able to scoot out at about noon yesterday right before all the problems at the airport.
It was impressive to see these guys in action.
It reminded me of a swat tactical team on a sniper mission. Quick efficient and Mobil. It was neat to see how they could move to a new spot in 8 minutes be set up and killing crows. And the way they adjusted to the situation with each other and how they TRAP the crows in a shooting area. Nothing like me missing then the bandits go right into the middle of the triangle only to be crushed in between every one. Sad part was seeing crows come in on there side and know there was zero chance of a crow getting out of their broiler room alive.
Made me seem like a lazy hunter! I usually sit on a bucket and this tactical team does not even bring buckets or chairs.
Thanks again TCP,
I Will be BOCK
John

John, It was great having you down, I wish I could have spent a little more time 'talking shop' with you. You'll get the hang of that metro tube soon enough, you did as well as anyone on their first try. I saw you knock down a couple on that hilltop at extreme ranges.
John, I do not recall any quads, but I have shot a few of triples. I should have had one earlier this year, but like an idiot, I had forgotten to reload after the previous volley, and I only had 2 shells in my gun. I dropped 2, swung on the third, had him lined up perfectly, and CLICK! Very frustrating. That was the day I killed 65 by myself, and I counted about 10 doubles that day, which was very rewarding as you might imagine.
Once you get used to pumping, that long barrel won't slow you down much.
