I know some folks hunt different types of terrain and cover. What camo works where you live? I hunt the lake bottoms of east Tn and when the lake goes down to winter pool nothing matches the rock and boulders of our lakes like natgear. It works great in the woods and open fields too. There snow camo looks great too. I also like the (OLD) shadowgrass pattern. I dont like much of mossy oaks new patterns and dont care much for MAX 4 either. If I had to pick one pattern it would probobly be natgear SCII. I would love to have my waterfowl gun dipped in it. Cost to much though.
If you could only pick one pattern what would it be?

A SUPER 90 and a crow in range, life is good. A good sandwich and bag of M&Ms doesnt hurt either.
Here in Miss, the leaves are usually on till the end of December and the old "Woodlands" patterns that were Army issued work about as well as anything. Good cover and being still probably has about as much to do with it.

Right now? Today? My favorite camo pattern is PURE WHITE. At one point during our hunt, I stood up to pee thinking there weren't any crows in sight. Before I could sit back down, Charles yells, "here comes a couple!" As I'm moving around in plain sight, those crows came right in, those white clothes against the snow let me get away with more movement than ever before.
Slash, how thick is that ghillie suit. I have been looking at those and wondered if it would hinder mounting the gun (I can't afford to shoot any worse!!!)
I like Realtree Hardwoods for hunting here in DE. I went out on Thursday after coming home from work and just down from my house was about 150 crows so I decided to throw together a quick hunt. It wasnt until the second round of shooting that i realized that i had for got my camo coat and i just had on a dark brown hooded sweatshirt. I still killed crows but alot can be said for having natural cover all around you to help out.

Here in southern ohio the camo of choice for me in the early winter until spring is Realtree AP HD, The fall of the year I like the Mossy oak New Breakup, If it fools the coyotes then it's approved here.
