Our landfill crows in north Alabama who were using a nearby roost seem to have nearly evaporated in the last three weeks. Have they broken up and gone to their home territories for breeding season? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
I can say that the breeding is on in NC. I have been watching the birds every morning and even sneak out at the plant to go stand on the roof of the building to watch them. Its on. I just need to figure out the Crow In Heat Call, or get a Crow In A Can, better yet some Crow Estrus Sent.

I use to live under a few trees that the crows would nest in.. LOTS of fun N frolic.... and I could be wrong but I think the sound "crow party" is some dirty drunken crows getting worked on in a back alley.
I have a bunch of crows that nest in some Popple trees across the road from my house. When the young get older, they wake me squawking early in the morning. I sneek in there with a camo bug suit on, (Wicked mosquitoes) and shoot them with a scoped .22 rimfire.
If I can wound one of the young ones, the adults go crazy and fly all around under the canopy. VERY fun.
