Went to a new place this morning right up the road form the house for a couple of hours before basket ball. I had never been on this property and followed the owners recommendations as to where to hunt. I walked in before daylight and found a nice little spot right on a creek bank at the edge of a food plot. The surrounding trees were around 40' and the crows hugged the tops of them. It turned out to be really nice set and a good hunt. Shot 66 times and killed 35. Had 4 or 5 shells that sounded just a little off but wasn't sure till I found one that wasn't crimped tightly. I think these must have gotten wet at some point and swelled as I had shot 3 boxes that were from the same 4 pack without any problems.

The first pic is of two that were trying to help out the beavers. That is a no-no in these parts as WE DON'T HELP BEAVERS, we shoot them ALL!biggrin Had a couple volunteer to be decoy sentinels.wink That was very nice of them!biggrin The blind is on the left in the last photo.

Be carfull my bandit bustin brother! I shot a 3" load of BBs at the end of goose season. It sounded fine but the following shot made no sound at all So I ejected it and couldnt find it. I packed up and went home. The next time I got it out I opened the action and the action and chamber had unburned powder all in it. I took the barrel off and looked down it, guess what, the wad was about 6" in front of the chamber. Morral to the story when you hear a off sounding load, PLEASE cheak your barrel.

Nice looking set up. Keep puttin the smack down on em!

Troy,

There was just enough difference in the shots to think "Was that different?" I wasn't certain that the shots were different till I found the loose crimp. I will check more closely next time that's for sure.
