I took the factory pad off my Ithaca Mag. 10 and put on a kick-eez. Wow what a difference! I also cut 7\8 of an inch off the stock and now the gun handles like a dream. Money well spent.
This is just me, I like the looks of the sporting clay recoil pads on a shotgun. I had a Kick-eez pad put on my .375 H & H Magnum and it did help. Bob A.
Bob,
It seem like the sporting clay versions with the 45 degree cut would slip up on your shoulder easier when you are bundled up for hunting and wouldn't catch on all the bulky clothes. But I am not apposed to good looks.

You bet, a guy already has enough to think about when mounting his shotgun to his shoulder. Having a recoil pad drag or catch on you're clothing is a problem you want to avoid.

Food for thought. I have a SBE and a M1, both of which use the same pad. I bought a limdsaver for my SBE and a hi-viz xcoil pad for a montefeltro I used to own. I put the xcoil on my M1 and noticed it is a bit thinner so it makes the length of pull shorter. Just keep that in mind as you are looking for another pad cause it can change gun fit.

a shorted lop should be better when all dressed up in cold weather gear. i shoot a 13 5/8ths lop in hunting season and in summer months i shoot 14 to 14 1/4. try a shorter lop for hunting, you will see you will shoot better, 10 ga
