Hey guy's Ya Shane I'm still alive but thinking about moving to Russia. I so dam sick of giving Obama money I have a question that I know will be answered. I got out the CS-24 yesterday and charged the batts. Took it out in the field behind the house to play with it. a huge thunder storm came up and it started pouring. I ran toward the house protecting my remote as much as I could. I would say maybe ten big raindrops hit my remote. (If I was forced to count them). After the rain stopped I went back out and the remote just went haywire. At first the back lite came on and thats all it would do. I pulled the batts and reinstalled, then a bunch of bars raced across the screen and now it wont even come on. I plan on calling fox pro in the morn,,, to see what they have to say. I have not had the unit a year yet. Any body had a problem like this. You would think the money I spent on that thing it would be at least as tough as a cell phone for cryin out loud
Take the batteries out and let it dry completely. Failing that, a call to FoxPro customer support is in order. Scott or Joe usually answer and both have always been very helpful, in my experience.
I did the dry rice thing and it dried the remote out. I turned it on and all I had was vertical bars across the screen. I called FP and Scott worked with me but said it was something new to him.... Ended up shipping it back this evening. 40 bucks with insurance,,,,,,,,,,,We will see. The techs said they needed to look at it, They guaranteed a 3 day turn around,,,all paid so we will see...................
Sounds like my kind of luck. You would think that the remote could take more than a few sprinkles before it puked, especially since it is designed to be used outdoors.
Must just have been a bad remote. I have had my Fury for a few years now and I have had my remote out in the rain many times and nothing has ever happened to it. AT least it is a Foxpro, they will either fix it or get you a new one. More than i can say for some other brands.

I was curious if anyone else had the same problems? I would think an outdoor remote should be able to withstand anything short of dropping it in the river.

Likewise to Splash 1, I have had my Fury, Prairie Blaster and Snow Crow Pro out in driving rain storms without any issues. Our Texas thunderstorms can come out of no where and we simply get caught then soaked.
FoxPro builds very reliable high performance products and stands behind them with big league customer service in my experience.
