That my friend is a fine example of a Browning "Twelvette" or better known as a Double Auto. It is a two barrel set, likely a full and modified I would bet. Are the barrels ribbed or "quarter ribbed as some were?
The DA was designed by J M Brownings son Val and were way ahead of their time back in the early 1950's.
The one depicted is an aluminum reciever in "Dragon Black". The aluminum alloy recievers came in many cool colors such as Autumn brown, forest green, blue, silver etc. Serial # should be on the bottom side of the reciever and it will likely begin with the letter "A" for aluminum. Is this your shotgun?

A close friends father is selling it and what you see in camera phone pic I put up is as much as I know. They could'nt tell me much, except it was a browning. This one, the 11-48 and couple others are going. I don't have exact prices, but I get the feeling he is valuing everything higher than I want to go.
Mike, condition is everything. the DA in the photo looks to be in very good condition and a two barrel set as well. If the barrels are ribbed (they had what was called a channel quarter rib) then this gun would be very collectable. DA's show up on Gunbroker from time to time. Some fetch upwards of 1500 bucks...but again condition is everything.
I have a steel DA which has seen much use. Very fast on the crows but only two ronds are a bit restrictig at times. Then again how often does one get off two well placed rounds. Any knucklehead can rattle off 5 shots in 1.5 seconds with one of todays autos...but the shots that connect are the counters! Just my 2 cents.
Attatched a photo of my Double Auto Browning and some good crows!
