First Time w/ Buster II

Leaving the house yesterday morning, I saw some crows under the pecan trees between our house and a tractor shed.  Because the nuts are just starting to drop, I thought it was time to go into action.

This morning I set out some decoys for a solo hunt using the hand call.  I was finished and all cleaned up by 9:30AM and had a total of 17 crows.  This was the first time I've had a chance to use the Buster II motion decoy.  I simply hung it from a tree limb 6 ft. off the ground on one side of my decoy spread and turned it on.

The crows decoyed well and never flared until it was too late for them.  Not only did it help bring them in, but it kept their attention away from me as they came in.  I did not have a blind and was just leaning against a nearby tree with a couple of small bushes around me.

Here is a big thumbs-up for the Buster II motion decoy.  In spite of the small size, it did a big job.  And speaking of the small size, it was placed just over my magnum decoys which made me a little worried about the size difference...it turned out to be a non-issue!  I will be using it often in future hunts.
