I talked "MNJohn into going back to "AREA 204" a couple days ago, (you may remember his post last fall with the pics of 204 "good MN crows")

we didn't think we would put up the kind of numbers as last fall but we were surprised, the  snocropro just kept sucking them in.

we had a great hide, with a serious wind 15 + mph w/ gusts over and building as day went on, wind angling over our left shoulders, had our set shifted up wind of us, the poor suckers would hover in mid air like a hummingbird at times checking out our dekes.then we would just let em have it, we were pretty much invisible,( we had one bandit just about fly right inside the blind) we could have easily exceded the "204" if John didn't have to leave for a dental appt.( he only hunted a little over 2 hrs) I stayed and put down a bunch more in a couple more hours, and the wind was just raging,if you missed, which I did often, they would turn and "bam" they were gone like a rocket.

The hide

The dead and dying were everywhere, oh the carnage,( this is just a small view of the field, couldn't get them all in)

What a blast...........if you can't get a mentor the likes of a "Bob A"

MN John will do, he has taught me alot and for that I thank him

Fine story and excellent pics L&S! 188 crows per 2 shooters is a stellar day IMO. I'm just north of you here in Manitoba so I'll keep doing my part by educating the crows and sending them south to youbiggrin

The best part of MN hunting is knowing very few crow hunters can get over 100 in one day.  The crows have always been here.  I have seen them in this area over 20 years ago and never shot more then 20 in one day.  But the tables are turning for the bandits :)

Thanks for the invite Mike.

MN John
