Tossed and turned last night with the thought of a few crows still around as I am a hopeless crow shooting addict with no hope of rehablilitation.
Awoke at 6AM to find overcast conditions and a stiff wind from the northwest. Perfect crow hunting conditions. Loaded the truck and off like a flash!
Quickly constructed a blind from local materials and a sheet of burlap. Wind was brisk in the tree tops, blowing away what fall colors were left. Finished none too soon as some crows began to arrive.
Numbers were not there but still managed to shoot 16 birds. Crows played into the wind beautifully, dropping low as to use the lee of the trees for shelter while approaching my calling.
All shot with #8 target loads as nothing else was needed. Attatched a pic of my blind...if ya can spot it...and the spoils of the hunt as well.
I finally spotted your hide in the second pic,,,,very good for a hasty fighting position. I will give you a grade of excellent and a Shanedog approved stamp on it
