Well, I could not get anyone to go with so I had to kill 18 by myself. I would have done much better had I switched to IC choke to start with. I had been using a diffuser choke but really started on a roll after going to the IC. Got 3 doubles and then went home. Would have done much better if I would have had the set up so I would have seen the birds coming in. Many that I missed came in over my head and were a good ways out by the time I got on them. Going away shots are my hardest. Never know how to lead them. Any suggestions! Season just opened here in Ga so looking for more places to go. Not alot of corn and open areas in North Ga would kill to be near some pecan orchards.I set up in he only tree line and birds came in over my head and high
I love My Fox Pro FX 3 but would love to get my Johnny St calls into my FX. Has anyone done that? I am no wizard on computers.
Going away shots... break daylight between the bird and bead and touch off the shot. It is a really easy shot once you get the hang of it. It is the opposite of a inbound where you have to hide the bird behind the barrel.

Sometimes they are so easy to hit and others they make you look horrible.
I hadn't shot in several years until this Oct. I was glad I hadn't forgotten how to ride that bike. But, I still missed some easy shots and made some super hard ones.

I used to shoot much more during the off season, mainly skeet and a little five stand. I've been shooting since October and have 3,566 crows under my belt so far and only now do I feel like I am really in the groove. I had an afternoon shoot the other day where I shot 157 crows in 2 1/2 hours and had 8 triples in that shoot. Man were they soft shots, but you still had to hit em!
Have a safe Christmas.

It is funny, I practice with my bow year around, but hardly ever practice with a shotgun or rifle. I know I should, but shooting a bow is more fun! LOL
I think I am going to shot my modified choke next time. I love making those long shots but it cost me many close ones that I should have made.
Anyway, I still have a lot to learn. Still working on my blind.
Also, what is the best charger for the Fox Pro caller?
