Retail stores love Black Friday, if they have one. This conotation implies that this day is their best day of sales, and profit, of the year. In business, "in the black" means profitable.
It will be interesting if you dudes will post how many crows you killed on your best "black friday" That is, the best total score you made, during ONE day, while hunting ALONE. The day of you best "black friday" does NOT have to be Friday.
Also, what is the best "black friday" that you and 1-2 of your hunting partners have ever had, in one day?
My personal best is 61, the top TCP solo effort until Texas Matt beat me with a 66 last fall. I had a 57 plus 12 grackles that my 61 surpassed a few years back. So far this year my best solo sortie is 53 crows, while October 2011 was our best month yet, with 525 crows taken by the Texas Crow Patrol.
As far as a team effort (+ 2 partners), we recovered 222 on one stand back in 2008.
I would anticipate the TCP breaking these records over the next season with our improvements in tactics, gear, and land acquisition thanks to tips we have gained through our Crowbusters interaction.
The best I ever had was last season Ken, I rolled 834 crows with 1,150 trap loads in the same spot all day long, never moved a step. My second best was two days before, two setups, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. 711 total for the day.
This season I had two 500 bird days (not shoots) where I setup both in the morning and then again in the afternoon. The first day I rolled 161 in the morning (200 trap loads) and 340 on a flyway shoot that afternoon using 546 trap loads.
The second day I shot 227 in the morning (298 trap loads) and 290 on a flyway shoot that afternoon. I used 382 12 gauge trap loads. This was a wild shoot as the 290 were taken within two hours. So the total for the day was 517 crows.

Best shoot by myself was a 53 bird shoot this year, I killed about 40 of them in a 45 minute span hitting a flight of migrants at just the right time and it happened to be on a Friday.
Best two man shoot was with 10gacrowshooter last year when we killed 104 between us.
On both shoots we were using our tried and true side by sides.
