We were on our way to a rough shoot yesterday when we past a couple of fields full of crows. It turns out that the land belongs to a friend of one of the guys at the rough shoot. We cant set up our blind before first light so I was wondering if we disturb the crows will they return after they get scared off.
I would be in there as early as possible. You will get some shooting off the birds that are present. Get everything set up included guns loaded and callers ready THEN set the decoys in a well planned and speedy manor. What is already there is likely to come in all at once. Shooting should be hot and heavy for a few minuets. Then you will have to hope there are more using the area and "Hedge Hopping" as Bob calls it. If they are using the area and not just that field then you should have some prolonged shooting. If not and they are only using that one field it could be over as soon as it starts. I have seen it both ways.
Good luck.
