Question, I have an additional speaker that I plug into my FoxPro. It helps to get the sound directed in more than one direction. However, it isn't any louder. Does anybody know what I need to add volume? (If it's even possible.) Possibly an amplifier of some kind??
Does the mini amp plug in at both ends or did you have to hardwire it ? I also have a johnny stewart, & while I like the call, it definitely needs more volume. Do you also run an extra speaker ?
The RS mini amps run on a 9volt battery. They have an inlet and outlet plug that accepts 1/8" stereo or mono jack. You will need a jumper to connect the amp in between the player and the speaker. Amp can be installed at the player or at the speaker. Battery life is very good and it seems like I was getting several hunts before having to change. Speaker will start to drag when the battery get low so just carry an extra with you.
It is a good amp for the cost. It will drag if you try to run a 25 watt speaker at full volume. Not a problem though as there is a volume control built into the amp. Just adjust it so at peak volume of the caller the extra speaker is not distorted.

This Cass Creek speaker will plug in to my FoxPro through a standard headphone jack and has an internal amp? Basically, it's plug and play? Does it have it's own batteries or will it pull off of the 12V I have for the fox pro?

To clarify I ordered the cass creek speaker. After visiting the manufacturers web site I am confident it will help. 4 C batteries and says it will run off an Mp3 player also.
Don't want to sound dense but I'm still a little foggy on this - will the Cass Creek Bighorn speaker plug in to my Foxpro Spitfire ? All I need is a cable with two 1/8" male connectors ? Thanks.......
I bought the 30 amp speaker from Foxpro but it distorts at max volume. Not bad but u have to keep it one notch below max. The bad part is that it cost $109.95.

I don't know about the Foxpro but the Cass speaker has a standard earphone female jack and comes with 75' of speaker wire with 1/8" male plugs on each end.
