Still workin' on some handcalls
Permalink

Been working on some calls, trying to come up with a design I like, and also, with some help from others on here, work on the sound as well as my calling skills.

Ive been making the MT2 tapered style of toneboard and barrel.

Osage orange and mesquite, and the one in background is bacote with tulipwood tips. These have no finish on em, I havnt decided what Im gonna use for that yet. I use a tung oil mix on my predator calls so Ill probly try that.

Theyre coming along ok I think.

Thanks for looking,

Mark

Mark,

Nice!!! Sorry I didnt get back to you. I been running crazy getting ready for Nashville. I usually dont have any space around the mouthpieces. A good seat is critical for the sound. Not sure what to tell you to do different except mabey ream the barrell deeper. This might help to get a beeter seal.

Michael
